Less is more when thinking about what you use and buy. But if you are buying, it should be a conscious choice and, when possible, an ethical choice.

We pick our EcoShop products based on their impact – products which help the community and environment, not harm. All products we sell enable people to do one or more of the following:

Be energy smart

Reduce your impact on the environment, cut down on power bills, and be healthier with a warm, dry home. Being energy efficient improves health too – studies show links between damp, cold houses and poor health.

Reduce your waste

Cut down what you send to landfill – reduce, reuse, repurpose, recycle, or rot (let the worms eat it)! Invest in the tools you need to avoid waste to landfill. 

Buy ethically

Use your dollars for good – buy products which have been made ethically, with positive impacts on people, communities or the environment.

Be knowledgeable

Knowledge is power.  We have resources for all ages which inspire and educate, from books and journals to toys and puzzles.                                                                                              

Grow resilience

Be ready for anything, with your own water supply, a bountiful garden and other off-the-grid resources. Build your resilience for after an earthquake or peak oil. 

Support community

Pick products which have a positive impact on people, whether that’s your local community or one elsewhere in the world. Whether it's fair trade, trade aid or just buying locally made, you can make a difference just by purchasing the right stuff.
